Description: I think my axes are too beautiful to beat up the handle/haft when I use them. I hang my own axes too and a good handle with straight grain is very hard to find so I want the haft to last as long as possible. The leather I use is very thick (10/11 oz.) and will take a beating. Please note that there is nothing you can do to completely protect a tool like an axe that takes such a beating with use. These leather guards will greatly reduce the damage to your axes as they have mine. Take a look at the pictures (axes not included). If you think you have an axe that is not standard or boy's axe size or if you just want to be certain, message me the diameter of your axe at the top and 5-6 inches down. If you want a darker or lighter color to your leather guard please note that in your purchase.
