NO NEED for Solar Power nor House AC power -- the ADOR1 typically runs at least 1 year on a cheap 6 volt battery. The infra-red daylight sensor data is processed by an algorithm to determine sunrise and sunset times. Time variations relative to sunrise and sunset can be adjusted by the user. Manual over-ride and LED status indication are provided on the front panel. A buzzer also annunciates codes for status indication. One year warranty and great phone or text or email customer service. Lifetime galvanized steel construction. (No warranty on FREE BATTERY, but should give at least ONE YEAR of service). Don't be fooled by automatic doors with an alphanumeric display and keypad. Why would you want to put a device with a keypad and display out in the weather? We kept it simple for reliability reasons but still have all the technology and allow adjustments ADOR1 is easily maintainable -- AdorStore sells replacement parts for a reasonable price so this should be the last chicken door you have to buy. The LARGE opening is 13" tall x 10.5" wide. Easy to install and/or to adapt to any existing opening on your coop.
