Description: Came across this badge at an auto swap meet. The seller, who specialized in automobile badges and mascots assured me it was off a 1936 Horsch. While I had some reservations I knew that Auto Union badge normally incorporated the four rings logo but I had never seen a singular Auto Union badge without the four rings so I took a chance and purchased it. After doing a lot of research I have been unable to arrive at any definitive conclusion.Perhaps it is the center section of a broken four ring badge? Or possibly an overlay for a four ring badge? However, the construction and curvature of the badge does not help with that assumption. So here it is and it’s up to you fellow eBayer’s to arrive at a conclusion and let me know the answer.(Location SB1)
