Atoms for Peace, in der Presse bereits als Alternative-Supergroup gehandelt, ist ein Projekt bestehend aus Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, Mauro Refosco und Flea. Das Bandprojekt entstand, als die Beteiligten sich anlässlich der Tour zum Eraser -Album getroffen hatten. Nachdem die kreativen Köpfe zunächst die Songs des Thom Yorke-Soloalbums einstudierten, begann man, im Bandgefüge nach und nach neue Titel zu komponieren. Daraus entstand Amok , auf das sich Thom Yorke und Co. im Radiohead-freien Jahr 2013 konzentrieren wollen. Mit ein wenig Glück werden die illustren Fünf sogar auf Welttournee gehen.
