Description: Athearn Ready to Run Amtrak P42DC #66, 40th Anniversary Phase II heritage scheme. DCC and Tsunami Sound, installed by a third party hobbyist shop around 2014 and never opened until now. Open box, but the locomotive has never been run other than during installation and when I first tested it before posting it for sale. During the brief test, as I do not have the space for a full test run, the locomotive seemed to lose connection with the track power, but it only happened once and didn’t seem to occur again. I don’t know if it was a problem with the decoder, or if it was simply because it was never used after the DCC installation and needed to “breaking-in”, or if it was because the track was on a very uneven surface and was never cleaned.
