Description: This Artley flute is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. Serial number 511335 The headjoint is marked silver and is in good condition. I see one or two pinpoint dents, but overall, it looks really good! The crown twists freely, so I'm sure it needs new cork. The flute and the case are very musty smelling. I have not tried to correct it, but it may be necessary to replace the case. The pads will all need to replaced. The tiny C pad is missing. I did test it with a loose pad in there, and the flute could whisper all the correct tones, though it is not able to play them clearly since the pads (and the headcork) do not seal as they should. The trill key corks are also missing. All the keys move freely and the flute goes together easily. There are surface scratches and scuff. The low C roller has some damage to the finish. The case, aside from the musty smell, is in good condition, and the latches and handle work well. This would be a nice flute with some TLC!
