Description: You are viewing an exquisitely detailed hand painted Polychrome Plaster Mannequin head. This exquisite item dates from the mid 1920s to the early 30s. I have collected and dealt with beautiful vintage display items for over 40 years. This piece ranks at the top of the list, the face is fine and exquisitely painted, I might have to say it’s the best one I’ve seen of its type. Her exquisite detailing and detailing is evidenced by the simple, but spectacular touches of silver paint on her lips, all original. I have seen several from this era with highlighted gold, and or silver paint as an elegant final touch. This head would have set directly into a life-size upholstered mannequin. These mannequins had practical applications as they were designed for the head to be easily removed from the standing mannequin. The head could be placed on a counter, or in the Window, displaying jewelry, hats, or accessories. I don’t expect this exquisite item to last long, s don’t allow this piece to be the one that you kicked yourself for not buying! As a sidenote, I ship promptly, either same day or next day mailing. This piece will be securely double boxed and delivered hassle free. Thanks for viewing. Sincerely, Rob.
