Description: Welcome To The Antique Cabinet For your consideration is an Art Deco FRANKART ‘Fortune Teller’ Lamp Model No. L263, circa 1930’s, designed by Louise Cross. Frankart Inc., New York, New York, produced a variety of nude lady lamps, bookends, ashtrays, and other decorative Art Deco items in the 1920s and 1930s. The piece depicts a bold feminine head with a long slender neck with hands out around the globed shade. The iridescent art glass shade (which is not original to the lamp) was made by Pallme Konig (Austrian 1920-30’s). The shade has a yellowish ground color with random orange oil spotting and compliments the lamp nicely. The base is illegibly marked on bottom outer edge- see pic.Lamp measures approx. 8.75" tall by 6" at widest, shade measures approx. 3" tall by 4" at widest with 2.25" fitter. The piece is in great vintage condition. The top figure & bottom base have age related wear with no cracks or repairs. The base has some denting to the sides,the bottom is felt covered. The shade is in great condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and very lite wear. The lamp does work though we highly recommend, as with all used electrical items, that electrical components be inspected by a qualified person before use.
