Perhaps you can put up a note on the outside of the door, asking USPSto knock on the door, and if no answer, to NOT leave the package but DO leave a card telling a delivery was attemptedand that it can be picked up the package at the USPS. Once there is a record that the package has been delivered---it is out of my hands and I have fulfilled my obligation as to Ebay rules. I always ship using an ebay label and there is a tracking number that you will have access to, so you can always see when the package is being delivered.
