LOOK AT THE PUMP HANDEL!IT SHOWS RIGHT ON IT! IT WILL TELL YOU IF IT IS E-10, E-15, E-30 OR E-85. E-85 IS JUST WHAT IT MEANS! 85% ETHANOL!!!!YOUR FUEL PUMP WONT LAST BUT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AT MOST IF YOU PUT THAT E-85 IN IT!!! THIS OE FUEL PUMP IS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT IF YOU HAVE THE LMH WALBRO CARBURETOR. SCREW THE INCLUDED BRASS (NOT STEEL THAT WILL RUST) BARB FITTING INTO YOUR CARBURETOR, ATTACH THE INCLUDED CLEAR PVC (NOT PLASTIC) FUEL LINE TO THE OUT ON THE FUEL PUMP AND THEN ATTACH IT TO THE BRASS CARBURETOR BARB FITTING. THEN YOU CAN MOUNT IT TO THE BLOWER HOUSING TIN OR JUST LET IT HANG.IT FUNCTIONS ON ANY ANGLE, EVEN UPSIDE DOWN. WE ALSO HAVE OTHER COMPLETE KITS WITH SHUT OFF VALVES AND THE SAME BRASS FITTING, A BRASS FUEL (NOT MADE OF PAPER THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BREAK DOWN) FILTER THAT WILL LAST FOREVER! YES! I SAID FOREVER! HERE IS THE (2.) THING...WATCH OUT FOR THE CHINA LOOK-A-LIKE FUEL PUMPS! THERE ARE FUEL PUMPS OUT THERE THAT LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE OE ONE YOU SEE HERE FOR YOUR ENGINE. THEM DEFECTIVE FAKES WILL NOT WORK RIGHT AND I SERIOUSLY MEAN THAT MOST DO NOT EVEN WORK AT ALL!!! LOOK AT THE 3rd, 4th, 5th AND 6th PHOTOS TO SEE WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!THEIR INTERNAL COMPONETS ARE NOT MADE RIGHT! 1. THE DIAPRAGM IS TOO SMALL AROUND! IT DOES NOT SIT INTO THE RESSESED AREA OF WHERE IT SHOULD SIT. THIS CAUSES IT TO BE TOO TIGHT! IF IT IS TOO TIGHT THEN THE DIAPHRAGM CANNOT FLUCTUATE BACK AND FORTH TO PUMP THE FUEL! 2. EVEN IF THEY DID ACIDENTLY MAKE THE DIAPHRAGM THE RIGHT SIZE, IT STILL WOULD NOT WORK RIGHT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT MAKE THE BRASS BREATHER VENT WITH THE RIGHT AIR FLOW TO ALLOW FOR THE DIAPHRAGM TO MAKE THAT MOVEMENT BACK AND FORTH TO PUMP THE FUEL!!! 3. THE MATERIAL THAT THEY USED TO MAKE THE DIAPHRAGM IS NOT MADE OF THICK RUBBER AND THE SPRING THEY USED TO PUSH THE DIAPHRAGM BACK WAS MADE A LITTLE TOO STIFF SO THAT IT WILL NOT ALLOW THE ENGINES PISTON TO FORCE THE MOVEMENT OF WHAT THE DIAPHRAGM NEEDS IN ORDER TO PUMP THE FUEL!!! JUST ALL AROUND MADE WRONG!!! WITH SOME OF THESE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY OR IF EVEN AT ALL, THEN IT WILL WEAR OUT YOUR STARTER MOTOR FASTER AND SHORTEN THE LIFE OF YOUR BATTERY! LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTOS OF THIS LISTING! THAT FAKE FUEL PUMP YOU SEE IN THE LAST FEW PHOTOS WAS FROM SOMEONE WHO BOUGHT/MADE A PRIOR PURCHASE ELSWHERE AND THEN FOUND IT TO NOT WORK.THEY THEN MADE A PURCHASE FROM US AND TRIED TO DO A SWITCH-A-ROO RETURN OF THE FAKE ONE TO GET THE LARGER REFUND. LITTLE DID THEY KNOW THAT TO THE TRAINED EYE THERE IS A TINY DIFFERENCE FROM OUR OE FUEL PUMP (OUTSIDE APPEARANCE) FROM THE FAKE ONES.WE CANNOT SHOW WHAT THAT IS, OTHERWISE THEY WILL ONLY TRY TO MAKE THAT TINY CORRECTION IN THE FUTURE TO WHERE IT WILLBE EVEN MORE DIFFICULT FOR US TO NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE IT APART. AS FOR THEM, THEY WERE REPORTED, THERE WAS NO REFUND GIVEN AND THEY WERE THEN BLOCKED FROM EVER TRYING TO MAKE ANY FUTURE PURCHASES FROM US! THE BOTTOM-LINE IS.... HAS CHINA MADE ANYTHING AT ALL TO LAST OR TO REALLY BENIFIT ANY OF US HERE IN THE USA? THE ONLY REAL CONTRIBUTION THEY HAVE MADE TO OUR COUNTRY IS OF THEIR JUNK BEING PUT INTO OUR LANDFILLS!!! MADE TO WHERE YOU CAN CAREFULLY TAKE IT APART TO CLEAN IT IF NEEDED. THIS ALSO COMES WITH TINY RUBBER CAPS COVERING THE INLET, OUTLET AND VACUUM PORTS TO KEEP INSECTS FROM GETTING INSIDE AND RUINING THE DIAPHRAGM DURING STORAGE. THAT IS JUST ANOTHER PREVENTATIVE MEASURE TAKEN SO THAT OUR CUSTOMERS KNOW THAT THEY WILL RECEIVE A WORRY-FREE OE FUEL PUMP STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. STEP BY STEP TROUBLESHOOTING BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE! ONLY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC SHOULD ATTEMPT TO DO ANYOF THE TROUBLESHOOTING MENTIONED BELOW. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF FUEL IN YOUR GAS TANK THAT YOUR ENGINE IS ATTACHED TO, NOW PULL THE FUEL LINE FROM THE FUEL PUMP AND PUT IT INTO A CLEAR QUART JAR AND LOWER IT TO THE GROUND. NOW TURN ON YOUR SHUT OFF VALVE, IF YOU HAVE NO FREE-FLOW OF FUEL THEN IT IS SAFE TO SAY THAT THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE GAS TANK LIKE GRASS, LEAVES OR DEBRIS STOPING THE FUEL FLO. THIS SHOULD GIVE YOU AN INDICATION THAT YOU MAY NOT NEED A FUEL PUMP. NOW IF YOU LOOSEN YOUR GAS TANKS FUEL CAP JUST A LITTLE AND BLOW SOME AIR INTO THE FUEL LINE GOING BACK TO THE FUEL TANK AND THEN PUT THE HOSE BACK INTO THE QUART JAR AND LOWER IT TO THE GROUND AGAIN AND YOU NOW HAVE FUEL FLOW THEN YOU KNOW THAT YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE FUEL TANK TO CLEAN IT OUT. WHY? BECAUSE WHATEVER IT WAS THAT GOT IN THE WAY IS GOING TO FLOAT BACK INTO THE WAY AGAIN IF YOU DONT CLEAN IT OUT. LET'S SAY YOU HAD FUEL FLOW AFTER LOWERING THE LINE TO THE GROUND IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEN YOU NEED TO BLOW THROUGH THE FUEL PUMP ON THE INLET PORT. IF YOU CAN'T BLOW THROUGH IT THEN REMOVE THE LINE FROM THE FUEL PUMP THAT GOES DIRECTLY TO THE CARBURETOR. NOW TRY TO BLOW THROUGH THAT HOSE GOING IN TO THE CARBURETOR. IF YOU STILL CAN'T, THEN YOU KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMETHING PLUGGED IN THE NEEDLE SEAT THAT IS INSIDE OF THE CARBURETOR. SOMETHING IS STOPPING THAT FLOW. REMOVE THE CARBURETOR AND TAKE IT TO A PROFESSIONAL TO HAVE IT SERVICED. IF YOU ARE A CERTIFIED MECHANIC THEN TAKE THE CARBURETOR APART YOURSELF AND REMOVE THE FLOAT BOWL AND NEEDLE FROM THE NEEDLE SEAT. NOW ATTACH AN AIR HOSE TO THE NEEDLE SEAT WHERE YOU PULLED THE NEEDLE OUT OF AND BLOW BACK THROUGH IT WITH AN AIR HOSE. IT SHOULD HAVE NOW BLOWN OUT WHATEVER IT WAS THAT PLUGGED IT UP. NOW REASSEMBLE THE CARBURETOR IN THE SAME MANNER IT WAS TAKEN APART AND TRY TO BLOW BACK INTO THE CARBURETOR FROM THE INLET PORT GOING IN TO THE CARBURETOR. YOUR PROBLEM SHOULD NOW BE SOLVED. NOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FROM YOUR FUEL TANK TO YOUR ENGINES CARBURETOR IS MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS ASSEMBELED IN THIS ORDER...CLEAR FUEL LINE FROM GAS TANK PORT-to-FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE-to-FUEL FILTER-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-FUEL PUMP-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-CARBURETOR.
