Description: ANTIBES JAZZ FESTIVAL '70 Description Exceedingly scarce and highly collectible original first printing concert poster advertising the 11th Annual Antibes Jazz Festival held in Juan-les-Pins on the French Riviera from 17th to 23rd July, 1970, headlined by Aretha Franklin and Erroll Garner. Other performers included Lionel Hampton, Stan Getz, guitarist Grant Green, Archie Shepp and the Full Moon Ensemble, the John Surman Trio, as well as a special hommage to Louis Armstrong featuring trumpeter Roy Eldridge and French clarinetist Claude Luter. Grant Green’s performance was recorded and was released as Funk in France in 2018 by Resonance Records. The poster measures 31.7 x 60.7 cm (approx. 12.5 by 24 inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Printer’s imprint (France-Imprimerie) to the bottom right corner.
