Description: Apple Mac Pro 4,1 2009 Dual Xeon X5690 - 3.46GHz 12-Cores 64 GB RAM : WON'T BOOT. Review the photos carefully. You get exactly what is in the photos. No hard drives. No GPU. This computer has been used for a long time. This item is sold as-is no returns. It is not currently functional. Please read description in full. One day, it stopped working. A red LED in the lower right quadrant of the top side of the CPU board lights up when you power it up. I don't know if there is video display because the GPU I was using does not support the boot screen. I don't have the original GPU to troubleshoot. If I was to make a guess I'd say unfortunately the NORTHBRIDGE CHIP MAY HAVE OVERHEATED, based on previous symptoms. That chip always ran hot. I provide zero guarantee, warranty, anything. You get this computer as-is! It was a beast of a rig when it worked. I've since upgraded and I don't have the time to keep troubleshooting this. Dual CPU trays are more expensive than I want to spend just to troubleshoot this rig. If you find an easy fix, congrats. If you can't figure it out, you took the risk. You get this computer with a firmware upgrade to Mac Pro 2010 already done, in order for the x5690 dual Xeon processors and the 10600 RAM to work properly the 2010 firmware needed flashed onto this board. It is indeed a 2009 Mac Pro, running 2010 firmware. Version not known. No HDD, no peripherals included. 8 x 8 GB sticks of Samsung memory included. As seen in photos. Seriously, review the photos, comes as shown, expect nothing more. This is a chonky unit, larger and heavier than normal PCs. Shipping is a bit expensive, I know. It is what it is. Thank you!
