Description: This listing is for flown metal shavings from the Apollo 10 spacecraft, which have been attached to an Apollo 10 postal cover. The artifact section measures approximately 1cm across. This metal was originally part of the coldplate shielding of Apollo 10's onboard computer. After returning from the moon, a piece of the coldplate was obtained by the Mascoutah Aerospace Museum. From there, it was later purchased by SpaceFlori/BeenInSpace, one of the most reputable resources for Apollo memorabilia, and they made this display. The postal cover was postmarked at Kennedy Space Center on May 26 1969 - the date that Apollo 10 splashed down after a successful mission. The back of the cover has been signed and certified by the owner of SpaceFlori. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you for viewing this listing!
