Description: This is a very attractive antique wooden Indian fabric printing block with raised stylised flower and foliage design patterns set within attractive circular shapes. This printing block was most likely used for fabric printing but could equally well be used to transfer the pattern to paper or clay. This wooden block measures approx 17 cm x 14 cm. The total depth is 6 cm which includes the raised sturdy wood block handle. All of the raised pattern appears to be present and correct and I can’t see any breaks or missing parts to the design which is very lovely and ideal for fabric printing. This printing block is a decorative item in its own right and could be displayed as part of a decorative scheme perhaps as part of a collection of similar printing blocks. This item has had a previous life and may show signs of wear and tear commensurate with age. If I spot any issues these will be included in the description or in the photos of the item.
