Description: Antique Wooden 18th Cent Jointed Man Doll. Aged wood from being handled, this antique figured man lived in a house with my tiny fashion doll, I purchased him in the early nineties. He is different from manikins because he has carved painted features and delicate carved ears. His painted black hair is parted in the center and doesn’t go all the way back as if he wore a hat and his hair didn’t show. In the back his hair is just stained dark brown. Jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees and ankles makes him pose-able. His face, neck, chest, hands, legs and feet were painted a flesh color that has worn off in places, painted black eyes with black eyeliner, black eyebrows, blush on cheeks and lips. I entered him in a competition at a UFDC Convention in 1997 and he came in 2nd in the wooden dolls. One arm has a dark brown stain and that shoulder is frozen which looks like it was glue. All other joints are movable but should be handled carefully due to his age. The right thumb is chipped on the end. Beautifully made! Please see photos. Non smoking home USPS priority mail
