Description: This is a fantastic antique primitive wooden firkin mince meat bucket with metal swinging drop wood handle & lid. It has chippy layered paint in the colors of orange & aqua. Lots of age wear, craqueler(crackle to paint). Top side of lid has original impressed wording "NO 20 KEEP THIS COVER ON MINCE MEAT IS BETTER IF KEPT IN A COOL PLACE AND STIRRED OFTEN AS THE LIQUOR SETTLES AT THE BOTTOM." It measures approximately 10 inches height with handle down, 14 1/2 inches with handle up, by 11 inches across base by 8 1/2 inches inside opening & top outside outer edge of lid 9 3/4 inches. It is in nice age appropriate condition. Has lots of surface crackle to paint throughout. Honest use, expected scratches, spots of staining on inside & wear marks throughout.
