Antique Vintage Persian Turkish Camel Bag Mafrash Kilim Carpet Bag Cushion LARGE

Description: A glorious, absolutely huge bag created from the most beautiful, hand woven Kilim, and bound with thick leather. This mafrash bag would be designed to hold bedding, large textiles and so on. All edges have thick leather piping, and all straps and buckles are present (one buckle is a little loose but perfectly useable). There are two very sturdy end handles on the short edges of the bag, and a long strap that runs the longest length. When it’s laid out it’s nearly 1.2m long. The bag is in excellent order with no holes. This could be stuffed to make an exceptional bolster. A wonderfully authentic and rare thing. Please note: the final image shows some similar bags to illustrate the form and use- it was impossible to get good photographs. It’s much better in reality! Dimensions: Approximately Corner to corner 116cm x 43cm Height/depth 43cm NO RETURNS. This piece has plenty of wear as it is made from antique Kilim, bound with leather, and as such may have worn/faded pile and rough stitching.
