Description: Antique Victorian Edwardian Lace Up Cap Toe Boots Buster Brown Women 8-9 N VGC Vintage or antique boots. Leather. Circa 1905-1910. Cotton canvas lining. Stacked wood heel with rubber heel plate. Leather soles. Cotton laces with metal aglets. They show some wear but overall, for age and type, these boots are in very good condition. Leather is soft and supple. The Goodyear sole plates or heels may be a little dry. Very little wear to the soles. These are women's boots, not children's. They appear to be somewhere around a women's 9 but they are very narrow, perhaps a triple or quad A. There are markings on the canvas and the right boot has an inset with Buster and Tige (adorable). Cap toe styling. Sixteen eyes. Shaft appears to be cut slightly taller in front. Graceful, rounded toe. Goodyear Wingfoot heels (they started making these heels in 1898). Bottoms marked: "BUSTER BROWN Brownbilt ARCH SHAPING A PROTECTIVE SHOE". High quality vintage footwear; those aglets are amazing!
