Description: WHAT YOU ARE BUYINGAntique Victorian Burl Walnut American Dresser Chest with Mirror Circa 1880'sDESCRIPTION Outstanding American walnut Victorian dresser.The design elements combines burl walnut accents, geometric spoon carving, 3 dimensional top mirror crest with curli-cue carving, marble top, wonderful original brass hardware with a shell motiff, and geometric key holes. Swivel mirror. A lock in every drawer shows that it was originally meant for a home with servants. This is an original piece not a later reproduction. The pin and cove (dowel) joinery in the drawers dates in about 1880s. It was refinished many years ago and remains in good condition. Width is about 43 inch. Depth is about 19. Height is about 81 3/4 at the top of the mirror and about 32 1/4 inch to the top at the marble surface.Check out our other items! CONDITION It has been previously restored including refinishing both inside and out. If there was any damage, it was professionally repaired. The wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age. Typical non-structural age dry cracks, slight warping, etc. is expected. With restoration there is always a question of how far to go with it.
