It might be one of a kind because of the way it was made with less expensive paper that most likely did not stand the use and test of time. The colors are still very good and bright. The publishing... circa 1800's very early 1900s Henry Frowde in 1841 and Hodder & Stoughton was established in 1868. The book tells the story of cotton in the days of the shameful and depressing slave trade years. The cotton's impact negative for the enslaved people and the stages it goes through before being made into a material one could use to produce other products. The book is almost a propaganda tool to school i.e... train school children and continue the trade. There are A LOT of drawings in the book - a couple tiny pictures were cut out BUT ALL OF THE PAGES are intact.
