Attributed to Eva Gonzales French Impressionist painter. She was one of the four most notable female Impressionists in the nineteenth century. Sébastien Erard Born in Strasbourg in 1752, worked in cabinetmaking before settling in Paris around 1768 as an apprentice to a harpsichord maker. An etching which has bright and unfaded colouring, with detail and ink lines, printed within a platemark on a paper sheet, measuring 31 cm x 22 cm (12 x 8½ ins.) Signed in the plate by the artist. Unframed and unmounted, blank on the reverse, the condition of the image and sheet is good with handling marks condusive with age.
