Description: Remington No. 1 Export socket bayonet measuring 20.812 and a blade length of 18.25, inside diameter is .720". These bayonets were for use on the Remington No. 1 Rolling block rifles produced for export. The no. 1 was a black powder military rolling block action manufactured from 1866-1896. These models have a wide mortise which distinguishes from the Peabody model and M1873. This one has much original finish with scattered pin-prick pitting. See photos for further details.
