Description: A Ball IDEAL half pint clear glass canning jar has a glass lid and working wire bail closure. This was manufactured between 1910 and 1923 (Logo #5 with dropped a) if you examine the Ball logo in the glass. This is an older logo than most half pints seen. There are some bubbles common with glass of that vintage. The patent date at the bottom is "Pat'd July 14, 1908". Around the top rim there is "WIRE SIDE" and "18" in the glass. The bottom mold number is 7. The wire bail has no rust.There are no cracks or chips and the jar is as shown in the photographs.
