The hand tooled decoration includes initials HMK and date 1756 on the front and rings around. Tappit Hen comes from a 17th century Scottish pewter drinking jug with lid and topped with a topknot. Like a crested hen. The origin can be found by researching the hall marks, believed to be English or Scott. ZINN is engraved on the base as well.Approximate measurements: 10.75" height, 5" diameter base, 3" diameter lip.
