Description: I have for sale a very unusual antique Pennsylvania oak inlaid hinged box. This footed box comes from the estate of an antique dealer in the Harrisburg, PA area. She really focused on tramp art, sewing, clothing, etc., type items, but this was one of her personal pieces from her estate. There was a note inside the box with some information, but I have nothing other than the note to verify any of the information. Also, the interior fabric doesn't look original to me. The note says: "Made in Lancaster, PA, 1849 Daniel Family, Moved to Wheeling WVA late 1800's, Then to New Concord, Ohio early 1900's" There are a couple minor strips of inlay missing, but overall it is in nice condition. One strip on the feet is loose but present inside the box. You can see multiple examples of this in the photos below. The box has an inlaid checker design on the underside of the lid. I have provided over (160) photos below to give you an extremely detailed view of the box. Size: 11" (Length) 6 1/2" (Width) 6 1/2" (Approx. Height) Weights: 3lbs (Approx.) If you have any questions, and/or need more photos, please send me a message. Thank You
