Description: Antique PA German Quilt Blocks (4). Tulips pattern. Pieced and appliquéd. My Mother purchased these from a known seller at Shupp's Grove near Adamstown, PA. She was told that these were made in the 1800's. The flower portion is pieced and the stems are appliquéd. The tulips are growing in a pot which is also appliquéd. The white fabric of each square is made up of many shapes, some seeming to have been a garment prior to this. The colored fabric is still vibrant. The white fabric has some areas of discoloration and a few spots/stains. The fabric is in very good contain, considering its age. The tulip head squares are 6" x 6". The flower stems are approx 14" long. Each quilt block is 18" x 18".
