This is a double-sided towel, having the same embroidery on both sides (front and back), which is a manifestation of mastery of embroidery. (The photo looks darker than the original.) Fabric, embroidery, everything is completely hand woven. The fabric is out of handwoven cotton/linen mix. The weave of the towel resembles a terry towel. Possibly made in the early 20the century. 1920s. A really nice and unique decoration on a sideboard or table.
