Description: Antique New Haven Clock Co Mantle Clock - 8 Day Euphrates Striking Alarm Patent 1881. The movement/pendulum has patent date of March 1, 1881. The clock face has patent date of Feb. 11, 1879. There is a paper label on the back: 8 day Euphrates Striking Alarm - New Haven Clock Co. Comes with the pendulum, winding key and two other parts as shown. Measures 19" high x 12-1/2" long x 4-1/2" wide and weighs 5 pounds 7 ounces unpackaged. The clock runs sporadically but does not chime. The clock face is faded and worn. The glass on the door is intact with no cracks or breaks. The wooden case has nicks, scuffs, scratch marks, finish loss and chips. The wooden decorative piece on the top base on the right side is broken off and it appears that a portion of the base under that has been replaced. This is being sold "AS IS" for parts, repair or restoration.
