Description: Rare and beautiful reliquary frame with paper filigree, from the 19th century, Napoleon III era. Made of blackened wood with a covered back, adorned with exquisite paper filigree designs and pearl embellishments forming crosses and foliage. It contains 7 first relics under glass: A reliquary medallion of the True Cross is present at the center of the cross of paper filigree surrounded by small blown glass beads, St Etienne first martyr,, St Laurent, Martyr in Roma, St Mary Magdalene, St Catherine virgin and martyr ( St Catherine of Alexandria ), St Thomas apostol, and St Amadour. Wax seal is present on the back. Condition: It is in a very nice condition, see pictures. Dimensions: 7 1/16" with the loop x 5 1/2" / 18 cm x 14 cm, thickness 1 1/8" / 2,8 cm, weight 151 g.
