I BELIEVE IT TO DATE TO THE QAJAR EMPIRE PERIOD OR SOON AFTER. THE SHEET SILVER FRAME, OVER HARDWOOD, HAS EMBOSSED SCENES DEPICTIVE OF OTTOMAN / PERSIAN LIFE. THE REVERSE HAS SCENES OF FLOWERS AND BIRDS. THE FRONT ALSO HAS BEAUTIFUL BRIGHT BLUE ENAMELWORK DESIGNS. IT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 8 1/2" X 5 7/8".
