Description: I am listing 6 antique maid's aprons, collected over the years from local estate auctions. This is an earlier one with lovely hand embroidered embellishment. It is made of soft semi-sheer cotton batiste and has a row of white lace all around. The top (waist) is curved and has eight hand stitched buttonholes across its width, presumably to correspond to buttons underneath? It would easily be pinned on. It measures about 14" across the top, 21" long at the center, and The skirt flares out a bit and has a rounded bottom edge. Near the bottom there is a long garland of flowers in pink, yellow, and blue held up by 2 blue bows, with a few blossoms falling from it - charming! This is definitely hand embroidery. I have laundered and pressed this and found the fabric to be in sound condition, soft and strong and not brittle. This is in excellent condition, with no rips, tears, or stains, but I did find one pinhole just underneath the rightouter buttonhole, as shown in the last closeup. I also . It has a great look for a historical display or a costume! Please have a look at all my aprons.
