Description: For Your Consideration: An antique Victorian cowrie shell caving from Galveston, TX. I believe this was carved before the tragic hurricane that hit in the year 1900 because of the Art Nouveau styling and also to mention that TX is spelled “Tex”. There is a hole in the top that I believe was for a pin cushion. The hole measures 1.125” in diameter. This is a fantastic carving with much detail. This is in excellent condition with no issues to report. Shell measures 3.75” x 2.75” x 2.00” tall. See Pics.
