Description: Antique large imperial French very heavy bronze picture frame. The frame has empire style gilt bronze framing and detailed ornamentations surrounding the frame. It has three individual frames with beveled oval glasses. I assume the glasses although old, but are not original to the piece, because the move in the oval slots. The workmanship of the piece is detailed and immaculate. It measuring at 8” tall by 5 1/2” wide and holds three 1 3/4” by 2 1/2” image. The frame is in excellent condition. One of the corner back screws are lose. One of the glass inserts has a corner chip, but it is not visible from the front view. It also has an easel for free standing. The piece weights 27 oz.
