Description: I got this at a local estate sale. It is still beautiful and useful, but I must downsize and find new homes for some of my favorite items. I am not able to tell the materials in this vase with certainty. There is definitely some metal, some inlay that looks like mother-of-pearl, and the dark red finish, which seems somewhat like lacquer -- very shiny and reflective. It is much lighter in weight than it appears. Because the marking says "Korea," I suspect that this was made before the peninsula split into North and South Korea in 1948. But I do not have other provenance to prove when it was manufactured.
