Description: Description This is a lovely antique KPM Berlin teacup and saucer from the mid-1800s, depicting a hand painted street scene of an unidentified building with people and trees. The cup is marked with the scepter and eagle in cobalt blue used from 1849-1870. The saucer is marked with a blue scepter and red orb, with the number 64 written on it in gold and an impressed L and R marks. Size Cup: 4" across (4.75" with the handle), 3.25" highSaucer: 6" across Condition The gilt on both cup and saucer is worn (please see pictures for more details). The cup has a smoothed chip (or a manufacturing defect) on the inside of the bottom rim, which is barely visible when displayed.
