Description: Truly exceptional antique Italian Coralline point lace, a very fine needle lace, surrounding an exquisitely embroidered central linen panel. The workmanship and design of the pillowcase are superb with beautiful detail. It has a lovely gathered linen flange with lace and more hand-embroidery. The filler is a silk satin covered soft down pillow. The condition is excellent, especially considering its age. We find a minor opening in the hemstitching of the flange at one corner and a few light age markings, as pictured. We have not laundered it and it is a bit dusty. 19” wide x 16” long, not including the 3" flange.
