Description: I thought this was a blank and when I started to clean it, I noticed very light embossing on the front. It is a standard Mustard shape standing 4 ½” tall and 3” round tapering up from the bottom and then tapering again for the 1 ½” neck. It has C & L embossed in half inch letters front and center. There are many mustards out there and I can find nothing on this bottle. It has had a hard life in the ground. It is heavily stained and somewhat crudely made so I am thinking mid-1890s. It has managed to turn a light amethyst in the sun but has no damage. If you are a condiment collector this may be a hard-to-find item. I would be interested in knowing any history on it.
