Description: Antique Ernst Heubach Koppelsdorf FLIRTY EYED CRIER Toddler Doll, with Providence, marked 342 - 3½. She was made between 1910 and 1926. She measures 19 inches tall. Her head is free of any cracks or damage. She has lovely facial coloring, flirty eyes, feathered eyebrows, painted lashes top and bottom, two pearly whites and a human hair wig in wonderful condition. Her composition body is also in excellent condition, nice and clean, just some marks on the fingers (see photos). Perhaps, they can be cleaned – I haven’t bothered. She has been displayed under glass for the roughly 13+ years that I have owned her. She’s exceptionally clean and has always been smoke-free. Her crier no longer works but they are repairable or replaceable. She is all original, except for the hand-knitted outfit, which was knit by a national award winner – read below. Providence: I bought her from the daughter of the first owner (Hester) who was a founding member of the Heritage Doll Club/United Federation of Doll Clubs. The daughter was selling her mother’s dolls after she passed. Hester collected antique dolls. She was also a professional blue ribbon knitter and won many national awards for her knitting and sewing of doll couture. This doll is wearing one of her prize-winning outfits. A local newspaper article about her, and a couple of memorial photos and obit will be provided to the new mum of this doll. Note: eBay insisted on a "type" of doll. She is bisque & composition. Porcelain was the closest I could choose. She is not porcelain.
