Description: This is a bittersweet piece to part with. Meet "Granny's bowl". We know that this bowl was made sometime prior to 1906 by our great grandfather, but the exact year is unknown. This bowl was used for everything from mixing and serving, to having a place of honor as decor in the cabinet. There is one small crack in the rim as shown in the pictures, but it has been there as long as I can remember (and I have seen some years myself), and it has never affected use or function. We're unsure of the type of wood used, but based on grandma's recollection we are guessing that it is maple. This would make sense given the time period and location of where it was made, but again, we are making our best guess.
