Description: This fan is a lovely, double silk leaf fan in creamy white, with watercolor paintings. Both sides are made of a nice, soft silk. On one side is a group of putti wrestling around a blue silk ribbon. The other side is a small cluster of flowers. The silk has some spots and staining from use and age but looks very good. The main problem is a torn spot on the upper edge near one of the guards (see close-up photo). A small piece of silk is missing. The sticks are plain black lacquered wood and the guards are lacquered, with yellow birds and red flowers. It measures 12-1/2" long, minus the brass loop. To cover the missing silk spot of silk you could always move the guard stick over one fold, which would cover up the problem. That's just a thought....
