Description: Antique GREAT AMERICAN Lithograph Spice Tin Can, COCKATOO BIRD, Pepper Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE LITHOGRAPH SPICE TIN Wonderful antique lithograph spice tin measuring 3-1/4" tall and about 1-7/8" wide. Featuring a pry off lid, top and base are japanned in gold, and tin is covered in wonderful, early graphics for THE GREAT AMERICAN TEA COMPANY - love their mascot COCKATOO! Once holding PEPPER, company branched out from their original coffee roasting business into distribution of spices around the 1880s. Condition is very nice with no dents, rust or holes -- there is a small amount of rubbing and paint chipping on the exterior as shown -- about 95% of the graphics are still clear and crisp. I've taken the images with and without a flash to bring out the detail. Just a charming antique spice tin - visually interesting, great graphics and color - fun addition to any collection or display!
