Description: This lovely Georgian lady is in her white bustier trimmed in blue. Her dainty narrow face has finely painted pale blue eyes, a rose bud mouth, rouged cheeks and delicate eyebrows. Her honey blonde hair is upswept high, off the face in a typical Georgian lady's hairdo. Intertwined in the upsweep is a burgundy ribbon and decoration. Her right hand seems to be adjusting the ornament while the left rests below her slender throat. She has the usual 4 holes to attach her to your choice of items. This would cover the chipped area at the back nicely for displaying. This lovely lady would be wonderful to place on your sewing table or a nice doll to add to your collection. She was handed down to me from my grandmother who was born in 1887.Some information I borrowed:Pin cushion dolls or half dolls (sometimes known in Britain as tea cosey dolls) are wonderful vintage items to curate as they cross several collecting categories. Collectors treasure them from vintage and miniature dolls, to antique pincushions, and other categories. They are lovely items which give creative scope to restore them as they were meant to be; as part of lamps, powder boxes, clothing brushes, and of course, as pincushions. Their use is limited only by the imagination of the new owner. Please take a look at my other doll posts. This is from a smoke free home. I will combine shipping when ever possible.
