Description: Selling this ANTIQUE GERMAN HERTWIG CHINA LOW BROW DOLL CLOTH ORIG DRESS NO ARMS PARTS REPAIR AS IS . Doll received in this condition - has not been altered or strings undone. Hertwig antique low brow porcelain china doll with a stuffed cloth body probably late 1800's. Black moulded wavy hair, white pale complexion - minimal rosiness in cheeks, low brow, blue eyes, pink pursed lips and a subtle glaze over whole head. Measures 8.5" length and torso is about 2" width. Beige cloth body stuffed with sawdust. In AS IS condition - this is how I received this doll. Damaged shoulder plate in the back where it would be marked. Tied to body with green ties. Head and face have no damage except a few scuffs under magnification. Cotton cloth sawdust (wood shavings) stuffed body- one tear on just above right knee and you can see the sawdust. Button intact on the backside. No arms. Wrapped in original dress. Tan dress with flowers on the skirt. Bodice intact but I think the sleeves were torn off or ripped off. Porcelain white lower legs with blue Delft-like painting of blue bows- bottom boots are brown. Looking for a home - for parts, repair or restoration. Strung around the cloth body to keep intact - I have not removed this. You are purchasing AS IS.
