The glass is frosted and has beautiful gold encrustation in an Art Nouveau floral design. The ornate (rococo) base is marked "Cambridge"; it is dark bronze in color, as are the neck and fitter. The lamp is fully operational and takes a standard-base bulb (not included). It turns on and off with a knob. The cord and plug are cream-colored.
