The box dates from the late 1700's or very early 1800's and the wallpaper dates from around 1850 ~ I'm 90% certain it's Zuber & Cie , however all of my research I wasn't able to establish the pattern. It's one of the most beautiful wallpaper boxes I've ever seen. AND it still has the key! ~ The locking mechanism doesn't work , however it's very decorative ~ ~ it's a fabulous find, no doubt made to contain very precious things ~*~ Measurements : 16.5 inches by 11.5 inches and it's about 7 inches deep~ CONDITION: This box has signs of time and use~ it's important to use the photographs to view condition.
