Description: "Dom Fernando II e Glória" was a Portuguese galleon sailing in the 1800s and now is the national symbol for the Portuguese navy. The center column and 3 footed stand are fashioned in a barley twist pattern. The top of the column is finished in a "pretzel" type design. The bottom of the center column has an ornate accent piece from which extend the 3 twisted legs and simple feet. The brass/bronze has gilted accents on the "twist" design of the legs. It measures 48" in height. It is 16" in width at the ship's widest point and 15" in diameter at the base.
