Antique Enterprise No 9 Coffee Grinder 1898 Two Wheel Coffee Mill Granulator

Beautiful Antique 1898 Enterprise Manufacturing Co No#9 Cast Iron 2 (19") Wheeled Coffee Grinder Mill, Made in Philadelphia Pennsylvania with Patent Date July 12th 1898. Grinder being Sold As-Is for Parts/Repair or Display only. Condition: Very Good Incomplete Pre-Owned Antique Condition. Visually the Grinder displays Beautifully. And it also functions. But it's unfortunately missing a few pieces. No Lid, No Drawer and No Wood Handles on the Wheels. The Top Hopper has had a broken and missing piece on the top left where the lid hinge would be. Also the hinge on the back that opens the grinder is also broken. But both pieces are there, and the bottom piece of the hinge that is still stuck to the pin spin's freely. So it could potentially be welded/braised and repaired. A side from the missing pieces and the 2 broken hinges, everything else is in really nice shape! I assume a previous owner repainted everything but the top hopper because they didn't want to redo the decals. Or maybe the top hopper came off of a different No#9 Grinder? I'm not for sure sure either way. This is how it was when I acquired it. The paint does have some wear, but it looks great! The Grinder & Wheels spin freely. The threaded brass tensioner bushing also spin's as it should, not locked up. Same goes for All the other threaded fasteners, All threaded fasteners are free, None of them are locked rusted or stripped. I checked them to disassemble for shipping. The sliding brass stopper on the bottom of the hopper also opens & closes properly. What's here is clean and nice aside from the previously mentioned flaws. This would be a great display piece, a good start for someone looking for a restoration project. Or it could be stripped down and used for parts. It has great potential to be used in multiple ways.
