Direct from England, an ornate and exquisitely carved antique English side or sofa table. The huge, scalloped apron has a design on all four sides that includes a center floral medallion surrounded by large foliate designs and stipple carvings. Creating quite a silhouette, all four legs have ornately carved, large bulbous “cup and cover” centers. The table has two tiers for more display area with a wide carved beveled edge to the table top and a scalloped edge lower shelf with similar carved beveled edging. With a gorgeous, ebonized finish, the table is carved and finished on all sides, so there is no ‘backside’, making it perfect to ‘float’ in any room.
