This finely carved snuff box is in the form of a shoe, the hinged lid is finely carved with a portrait of a lady in profile against radiating lines. The sides of the snuff box are carved with leaves and are flanked by intricately carved borders. This is a wonderfully tactile piece that has an excellent colour and patina. Dimensions:Height: 3.6cm. Length: 8.5cm. Width: 4.1cm. Condition:Tip of the underside has been reattached and felt has been applied on the inside to help secure it. Some age related splits. Age related wear as expected.
