Description: Antique Victorian Era late 1800s, Early American Pattern Glass EAPG Adams & Co. Prayer Rug pattern, AKA Good Luck, Horseshoe, 13” Oval Platter. Pattern introduced in 1881. Crystal clear pressed glass with all over textured pattern of “Give us this day our daily bread” wording along the edges, arched tassels and beads above that along the top edge of platter. A large horseshoe in the middle, a prayer rug, and sprigs of leaves and flowers. Horseshoe handles with an anchor in the middle. Fluoresces/glows dull green under 395 UV black light; made with manganese. Will glow brighter under 365 light. 13” x 9 1/4” x 1 3/4” high. Excellent antique condition: clean, clear glass, no cracks or chips. Two minute, tiny, flea bites on edge. You cannot see them, only felt if run finger along edge. See all photos.
